“And I think that’s a very rich topic to explore, and Reign does it in an immaculate way.”

I want to start by just saying that I loved this book, and I felt a deep pull to the book. And I think part of it is because of the premise.

The premise is that you have these two characters, Jude and Romeo. I wouldn’t say codependent, but they are. They’ve been together through thick and thin throughout their childhood, and they just seem to be fated mates, in the sense of a deep friendship. And they are ride or die.

And one day they start to explore things physically with each other, and it works until it doesn’t. And it’s a perfect story of two people having a misunderstanding that causes a big breakup in their life. But it really shows how relationships can be so fundamentally grounded in experience, and because of that, lives get intertwined in ways that can’t be ever really undone.

This book beautifully handles some deep, dark topics, and it really is a story that helps you understand how people really question their identity, and how sometimes it takes time for us to find our own identity. And even the people we love the most and that we’re closest to may not have the full story about who we are.

And I think that’s a very rich topic to explore, and Reign does it in an immaculate way. I would highly recommend the book.
