Luna is sold into an arranged marriage with Sebastian, the vampire Prince of Darkness. Their Binding Ceremony goes wrong, leaving them magically tethered and unable to separate without risking death.

That forced proximity gives the romance an effective premise. Luna expects cruelty, while Sebastian has spent centuries suppressing his humanity and obeying his queen. Their early resentment gradually becomes cooperation, then attraction, as each begins to choose a bond that was originally imposed on them.

The magical binding, vampire court, and political conflict keep the plot moving. The book delivers its promised tropes, though the world and secondary characters could use greater depth. The emotional shift between Luna and Sebastian can also feel smoother than the hostility at the opening suggests.

Tethered is a solid arranged-marriage fantasy romance with vampires, magical bonds, reluctant allies, and moderate heat. It opens The Binding Chronicles and can still be enjoyed as its own romantic arc.
